we had an extra upside down watertap that when pressed released water, we used that to rinse the glasses after brushing them

I have been a barkeeper for 10+ years, and it just happens. Lipstick is hard to get off a glass and with the limited light in a bar you just don't see it all the time, especially when it's busy.
