The idea of the .22 is great. You can buy 500 rounds for about 20 bucks and shoot all day. The Buckmark eats just about any type of ammo you put in it. I love my .22's. :)

My father hasn't touched a firearm since he was in the Coast Guard 40 years ago. He finally decided to come out with me to meet up with some friends at the range this past Saturday. He said he was...

Re: First Firearm Thread.

I wish mine was a lefty. Never really had a problem getting drilled in the head by spent brass but I'm sure I'd appreciate it after a couple hundred rounds.

Re: First Firearm Thread.

Converted this former gun hating hippie to a gun lover in one afternoon. After a couple hours shooting both rifles and pistols she's now a fan and can't wait to go back. Score one for the team!...

New parts for the 10/22- Green Mountain bull barrel and a left handed Yukon stock. Needs new scope rings now though.

Re: First Firearm Thread.

Well I shot that old Remington Model 81 today and my shoulder is officially p.o.'d at me. Makes an old Mossin Nagant seem like a .22. The thing bit my thumb while loading it, then it proceeded to...

Re: First Firearm Thread.

I bought my factory refurbished Sig 226 for $575 and it was like new. Haven't had a single problem in close to 1000 rounds so far. If you can find a refurb you are 'only' $75 over your budget. :D

Re: First Firearm Thread.

What do you guys think of the Bushnell 3200 Elite optics? Looks like a good value for the price according to what I've read. Anyone actually own one that can confirm that?
