Re: YAY- no more financial worries!!!!!

I'm pretty sure this is a scam. I got the exact same letter and I should be getting my money any day now. I doubt that Mr. Gates would make the same offer to another person. He said it was...

Re: 2013 Big Smoke Las Vegas Review

I've been several times, albeit back in the early 2000's. IMO if you want to get your money's worth, i.e. drinks and food, go to the buffet FIRST. Tables and chairs were usually in short supply so if...

Re: Comic Books (Like I need another slope)

have you ever heard of the Mile High collection? I only read the story today but heard about it ages ago when I was a kid collecting comics. Fascinating read- comic shop owner gets a call to haul...

Re: Smoke them while you can.

I believe the neighbor tried to come to a solution by sharing the cost to stop the smoke infiltration but he told them no.

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?

this isn't bad. There's something about the Seiko diver watches that just doesn't do it for me. I know they are decent watches for the money. I'm wondering how the Orient will stack up and if the PAM...

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?

looking to pick up a budget watch in the $120-$150 price range. Something around 40mm because I have a small wrist. I have my eye on a PAM homage by Jackson Tse or a similar maker with a Seagull...

Bolivar Christmas Ornament

It's the Christmas season so I thought I'd share this little ornament that I made a couple of years ago. It's a replica Bolivar Coronas Extra box. I took a pic of each of the 6 sides and resized and...

Re: French press

my Aeropress is ready to pack it in after a few years of use. Coffee grinds eventually wear the walls of the cylinder so the rubber plunger doesn't seal anymore.

Also it's worth it to get the...

Re: Which are the most cigar-friendly states?

I'd say sober is a pretty friendly state. Slightly intoxicated is usually pretty friendly also. Fallin ass drunk would be a very sorry state, though.

Re: Smoke eater/filter

I have this unit and it is an ozone generator. It is effective, however it has limitations. Given the same smoke volume, a large space (i.e. 3000 sq.ft) will be much more forgiving than a small space...

Re: First Espresso Maker

try looking on Craigslist or Kijiji

you can often find ok pump machines for $50-75. At any given time you could probably pick up a brand new Starbucks machine for less than $100.

Re: Do you ever relight a cigar after you put it out?

there's been a couple of times at the end of a stick after I've put it down, when I decided to relight it. There have been countless times when I've relit a stick after it's been out mid-stick.

Re: Cutter and Lighter recommendations

if you are looking for a torch, then the Blazer PB-207 is probably the best one I've tried. Easy light, easy action, lights every time.

Palio would be first choice for cutters.

Re: Movie this weekend

Edge of Tomorrow was pretty good. The plot is interesting even though I guessed it right away. It falls inline with similar "Independence Day" "we're coming to save you from the bad guys" type movies.

Re: Fried my Palate yesterday....

the good news is your palate will return to normal.
