Re: Have Monolith humidor - Input Requested

I've tried lower temp during the month or so of testing I did when I first got the unit, but lowering the temp introduced an odd problem that I still don't understand.

When the temp was not set at...

Re: Zippo lighter torch insert

My girlfriend has one and has had it for several months without issues. It was about $10 so as long as you expect to get $10 worth and you should be happy. Good thing is if it dies it pops right...

Re: Have Monolith humidor - Input Requested

After watching the min/max on my Xikar hygrometers for a week or so it is about 55% min and 77% max (so about +- 10% off the setting of 65%).

That is with the Monolith's control panel set on 72F...

Re: Have Monolith humidor - Input Requested

Thanks for the tips. I'd been eye-balling the humidity range - forgetting about the Min/Max feature of the Xikar hygrometers. They were still the goofy 40/90 that you get right after calibration,...

Have Monolith humidor - Input Requested

I was able to pick-up a demo Monolith 1200c humidor in good working order from a local B&M cheap. I set it up and seasoned the shelf wood for a few weeks and to watch how it works. A week ago I also...

Arturo Fuente Anejo No. 55

This review is about the Arturo Fuente Anejo No. 55 torpedo. The Anejo's are limited and only come out once per year. This one is from last year near Father's Day so it's has been in my humidor for...

Re: Cigar excise tax broken down state by state

Looked up the details for Texas and for what we would likely call a cigar it is 1.1 cents each.

This is the direct link to the Texas cigar tax law (in HTML)....

Re: "V" Cutter vs regular straight cut

I also use the Xikar VX cutter quite a bit, though not on torpedos. I use the Palio on those. The VX cuts effortlessly. It is a great tool.

I'm an accessory junkie so I currently have the Xikar...

Re: Liga Privada T-52 Flying Pig

I heard rumors that the LP #9 Flying Pig was not being made anymore, but the T52 Flying Pig would continue. I only have two of the LP #9 Pigs left so I hope they aren't discontinued. Of course...

Question New Havana ELO6 versus Tat Verocu No 5, Similar?

There aren't any New Havana Cigars ELO6 bundles left. I liked the ELO6 cigars and wonder if the Tatuaje Verocu No 5 is similar. Thoughts?

Re: Humidification Beads FAQs

I have an approximately 12x12x16" humidor with seven internal shelves about 2 1/8" tall. From your site I would use an 8 oz pack of beads for this size. However I can't tell how big this unit is to...

For general cigar smoke odors in rooms I've found that the air sanitizer Ozium works wonders. I get the large cans for the house and a small one for the car. I have a carpeted smoking room that I...
