Darrell, I have been considering stepping up after reading Chip's post this morning. Is it impossible to go over there to help the newbies and maybe mitigate some of Jon's actions and still keep friends here?

It seems tricky... how many people around are as kind as Tom (icehog) & Dave (Klugs)? Think about that, then think about helping manage a forum that could allow itself to scramble their passwords (not even having the decency to ban them outright).

Jon's actions are the polar opposite of brotherly, and that's what (in my opinion) this hobby is about.

Kelly, I think Darrell is saying that Jon expressly forbid him to come to this site. I know he mentioned to me in a PM the other day that he was going to have to discuss this with all of the mods.

Jon forbid me to come to CA and to talk to any of my friends here. He said he wanted a “hardcore” mod team with no ties to any other cigar board or it’s members.
