The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep

There's a video with the above title that explains the condition my Son had.
Some of you were aware, some were not. It's very interesting stuff though.
It affects everyone different,Mack had tongue and throat paralysis as well as one of his vocal chords. This kid was lucky they figured it out before they did any more surgery's he didn't need.

Oh by the way,Mack went back to school for the first time since his operation in June of 2008 :tu

Mack is back to breaking rocks in the salt mines instead of hanging out at the palace, huh, Dave? ;)

Glad to hear he is back at school:tu , that was a neat link, the surgery animation helped put an image to how you described it.

Man O man, Dave. It's amazing that it was ever diagnosed properly. I'm so glad that Mack is doing well and back at school. A miracle of modern medicine.

It does seem like the little boys doctors were grasping for straws, doing all those operations on him.
Needless to say, we are amazed and thankful the medical community in this area is world renowned.

Missing the last half of his senior year would have sucked big time, thanks for the kind words guys :)

Great news Dave-

I have an adult friend who was diagnosed with chiari malformation after years of terrible headaches--tougher situation for an adult to have the surgery though

It's much harder on a adult yes.I still think I would go through the procedure rather than suffer the headaches.
