Warped Lirio Rojo
5.5" x 44
Man, I don't know WTF kind of crazy, meth head botanists that Warped and Aganorsa have working in their factory down in Nicaragua, but DAMN they are really close to cracking the code. This is one of a very short list of NCs that almost taste like a CC. I am not kidding. These things are ALMOST there. No joke. The Lirio Rojo is a cigar that would make people who only smoke CCs stop and reconsider. They have what I have come to call 'the thing.' What is 'the thing?' It's not a specific flavor, but more of a palate-coating sensation. It's a noticeable depth to the flavor of a cigar. A flavor that lingers on the palate between draws. That flavor could be sweet/honey, woodsy, spice, or whatever. It's hard to put into words. Cuban cigars have 'the thing', and so does the Lirio Rojo. But unlike CCs, the Lirio Rojo has a noticeable hint of cinnamon in it's dominant flavors. It's not a flavor I often get from cigars, and it's really nice. Underneath everything, there's a very recognizable 'Aganorsa' flavor present. I smoke a lot of Aganorsa cigars (either theirs or cigars made with their tobacco). I guess it's something that cannot be avoided, since they grow all their own tobacco. Their tobacco is going to have its own characteristics. And that flavor is present. The Lirio Rojo come bandless, in cabs of 50, at around $9-$10/stick. It seems that Kyle Gellis was aiming for something, and IMO he nailed it (as much as he could). :ss |

Bummer, I looked around and this is a one time release, 2,000 cigars.
