Veterans Cigar

How many veterans are smoking a great cigar today to honor their friends and fellow troops?

I am half way through and Opus A.

At tonight's weekly Party Source herf, all veterans get a FREE cigar, which is a very nice gesture on their part.

As it's the 25th anniversary of me enlisting I am going with a a Majestics from '87, close enough, at least it was on the shelves when I joined.

I'm not a veteran, but I'm smoking a Man 'o War Phalanx in honor of those who are, and I appreciate all of you men and women who have fought for our freedoms.

Greeted an Honor Flight from Kansas City at Reagan National in the morning and spent an hour plus with the WW II and Vietnam vets. Great to see all the folks that came out to greet them- including a lot of kids. What a tremendous program.

Then, my wife and I spent another great day at Arlington National Cemetery. Try to get there every year on either Memorial Day or Veterans Day or both...and usually a number of other days of the years, as well.

Spent a fair amount of time in Section 59. I'd not been before. Found Robert Dean Stethem quite by accident. Very moving.
Just a few yards away, there's a large group of Marines - all tragically have the same date on their headstones: 23 Oct 1983; the Marine Barracks bombing in Beirut. Teared up as I observed a retired Marine from their unit who survived the attack spend a long, long time paying his respects to his comrades. Must have talked with dozens of veterans yesterday. Very good day.

Oh....and as to the OP question....yesterday I had
