Awesomeness in a glass
 

So I went to visit a buddy at his new house on Thursday. I bought some wine and cigars (never got to the cigars, too cold). When I got there, my buddy Richie said he was going to make be a drink he had recently had in Maui. It's called an Asian Pear. You can mix and serve this fresh cocktail over ice as we did or chill in a tumbler and strain as a martini.

Ingredients

Asian pear (available at most markets)
simple syrup (sugar and water)
fresh squeezed lime juice
pear vodka
Sake
club soda or seltzer

in a glass, muddle 3 or 4 1 inch chunks of the pear
add 3 tablespoons of simple syrup or more to taste
3 tablespoons of lime juice
1 shot of the vodka
1 shot of sake

add the ice, pour in a tumbler and stir or shake, add back to the glass, top with club and enjoy! These are awesome.
