**Monster 2013 Unlucky 13!**

About the boxes.. As in the past, 666 dress boxes of 13 will be released to the public, each of the Unlucky 13 retailers will receive 31 dress boxes. The remaining 263 boxes will go Johnson’s other accounts. The dress boxes will ship first to the Unlucky 13 and then to the other retailers in the middle of the month.
In addition, there will be 4,500 plain 10-count boxes, making this the largest Monster Series release of all-time with 53,658 cigars being released. Johnson is known to keep some back for charity and other purposes, but this is the first time the Monster Series has gone over 40,000 cigars, let alone 50,000.
Pricing for each cigar is $13.00 per cigar meaning the dress boxes carry an MSRP of $169.00 and the plain boxes $130.00. The cigars are no different, although the plain boxes traditionally have cigars wrapped in cellophane. The dress boxes routinely fetch upwards of $400.00 on the secondary market within weeks of the release.
As has been the case for the last few years, accessory-maker S.T. Dupont will also be making a special lighter for the release.

Of course it works! People eat this $hit up all the time. I've got nothing against it either. Are they using special tobacco for this cigar?

Supposed to be pretty stout this year. I like the size and so far I have not been disappointed in the Monsters except for the Drac I also look at it this way. If I get some and decide they're not in my wheelhouse I know I will have no issues finding them a new home and recouping most of my money back depending on how many I either smoke or gift before putting them up.
I got lucky and managed to score a dress and non-dress box. Hopefully the retailer get's what he's expecting and I don't find a credit when I go online and check my credit card transactions.

The stores Ive called are 85% doing the in store sales.. Glad I live in San Diego!

I have to admit, although I don't smoke ncs anymore, I still fall for this "Monster" series. I started with the Franks and it's just been a tradition of mine to try one each year. Although, they have been disappointing, it's just something I do.

I may have missed it, when will these be released?

Middle of the month, though they try to shoot for the Unlucky 13 to get em on the 13th and everyone else a week or so later

Looking to get my hands on a 5er of these...a few to smoke and a few to add to the collection (for later enjoyment). I will wait, since this is the largest Monster release to date. These should be readily available in a month or so.
