my corn cob stash.......
I have briars but nothing beats the simplicity of a easy smoking cob......its about time to order another batch of 2nds from MM
and yes today was pipe cleaning day thats why the whole herd was together :tu also I have yet to grow the balls to smoke that mc arthur.......one of these days http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/...psc64dd397.jpg |
Re: my corn cob stash.......
Very nice collection of cob there Jason. I do miss smoking my cobs.

Re: my corn cob stash.......
Nice forever stems Jason. I'll be bringing my pipes back into service once the Rh goes down for the year.

Re: my corn cob stash.......
thanks for having me look at that seller that I have been avoiding lol I just added http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=221209498481 to my collection...........

Re: my corn cob stash.......
Very nice- but aren't cobs supposed to me simply smoked to destruction and replaced? A 250 buck pipe is nice, but you can't beat a cob for ease and simplicity- and price!

Re: my corn cob stash.......
That's a nice collection of cobs you have there Jason. Very nice:tu

Thanks for the info, appreciated.

Re: my corn cob stash.......
Thought I was looking at my cob collection for a second :tu At least I'm not the only one who bought MacArthur and not use it yet. Nice collection!
Those stems on ebay are great. Some people try to bash the quality of them vs the forever stems even though they come from the exact same supplier. :sl And for what it is worth, the ebay seller makes some nice bamboo tampers too. |
Re: my corn cob stash.......
the stems i got at best id say they are tight very tight other then that quality wise yea the price is spot on and the stems work great.
i'm not sure what other people are looking for in a stem....... |
Re: my corn cob stash.......
A couple twist of a fine grain sand paper can get those stems to fit the way "you" like. I had the same issue, but then I realized the all MM's shanks are not created equal. I have had a stem be tight in one shank and damn near fall out of another.

Re: my corn cob stash.......
These are what I could round up for a photo ;-)
I know there are more somewhere...and my new Santia is still in transit. The Pony Express (top right) and Legend (bottom right) get the most use & I still haven't used the MacArthur either. LOL http://i926.photobucket.com/albums/a...psfefad693.jpg |
Re: my corn cob stash.......
