Devil bid games
 

Hey all,

It occurred to me that there are a few games that I always seem to play with the Devil bid site, and just like Vegas, the house wins...I lose! In this case, my losing really means that I win my bids. Either way, I come away with an empty wallet!

Game #1: "I'll just look to see what's up for sale"
This is the boredom pitfall. I don't actually need cigars, but I'm bored and need something fun to look at on the internet.

Game #2: "I'll just throw a low-ball bid. I'll never win this!"
I think that this is also a boredom ploy. Although you can get some cheap smokes this way, I usually don't NEED them, especially when my humidor is full.

Game #3: "Now that I've won, let's look to see what else I can win to take advantage of the shipping."
This is chick-math, pure and simple. Let's throw more money into the pot, so that I can save $2 or $3 on shipping.


As you might be able to tell, I have spent more money on that #$%& Devil site. I'm screwed! :fp2

Nick, I play all the same games as you, which usually takes me from a 40$ bill to a 100$ bill pretty fast

Same here! I went from $0 to $145 (box of Undercrowns) to $230 (box of Cain Daytonas). Yikes!

Haha, in that boat now. Won a box of MoW Puro Authentico and seeing if there is anything else I might wanna pick up -(P

I was getting to the point that I knew what his fav beer was. I haven't ordered in a month now.

I had a bunch of low ball bids out and won ONE thing for a dollar....One freaking dollar, Now to make shipping worth it....:hm:fp

Like to bid $1 on the Opus Xes, Anjeos and GOFs in the MMAO section, then raise the bid in 50 cent increments while I send taunting "Yo Momma" emails to my friend who works at CI and is responsible for the auctions.

I definitely play game #2... what sucks is when you put in what you think is a low-ball bid on 10 tins only to find out they are $1 each additional shipping since they fall into the "sampler" category, not the $0.50 each additional shipping of the 5er category.

got bored, already won a box lets go and see if there are any singles I want to try, ended up with about 9 other bids that end tonight...

I'm still new and have yet to fall into the trap of playing these addictive games... Should I count myself lucky, or play them anyways and enjoy the fun while the wallet holds out? :D
