Doesn't seem like someone would goes through so much trouble for "counterfeit " cigars. Maybe the real distributors of the cuban's didn't want anyone to know that they were in fact "real" cubans.

If they are real I wonder where they were headed... You'd think SA Habano would be a little more careful about the destination for an order that size...

My understanding is that they were headed to the Middle East and that SA Habanos cooperated with the seizure, since the cigars were fakes. This info is worth exactly what you paid for it.

maybe, maybe not. Often times, grey market is a true CC that's being sold outside of its specified region by a shop that has a different regional CC provider. However, caveat emptor
