Any antique car or restoration people here?
 

Could somebody give me a ballpark idea on what this thing is worth sitting as it is? I think its fair to assume it doesn't run. Most vital parts appear to be intact.

Now would anyone have any idea what something in this shape would cost to restore?

That old bucket looks pretty cool but alot of work would need to be done on it.

Get some more info on it. It looks to be in great shape could be worth a fortune. The cost of resto?.....sky's the limit and what type of resto? I would go back to original on a car that complete and unmolested.:2

I agree, My boss seems to think he needs this. He gave me the task of doing a little research. I'm guessing some where around 10K to make this look decent. But I dont do restorations so I could be way off.

I found somewhere that said in fair condition they are worth $6,000 and in show condition $24,000. Some people say that is optimistic.

Check out this link, it seems to have a ton of good info. One person estimated 10k-15k to do a restore and a restored value of only 10k.

Ts aren't as popular as they once were. If you shop around you can find them in decent running shape for less than ten grand.

The one you're looking at needs a lot of restoration. In other words, a lot of time and money. For a guy who's into Ts and maybe has a spare engine and lots of parts laying around, it might be a fun project. Otherwise, good luck! :D

My dad restores many model T's, I would say that one in that codition isn't worth too much more than 1000 - 1500, but the cost to do a complete frame off restoration would probably be close to 15000, as long as several parts aren't needed. Birdhaven supply in Iowa has almost any part available for a model T.

I've done restoration before, they always evolve into a can of worms. Always.
If you get it restored for less than 20k I'd be surprised.

I personally don't restore cars but have a '67 mustang and go to a ton of shows and watch a ton of the auctions.
I would agree that the Model T's aren't going for as much as people think they should be being such a ground breaking car that it was.
A good paint job is minimal $10K if you have someone do it.
This is one of those cars that it looks like you might get the motor working and leave it like it is. A good barn find if it came from a barn.
