Relaxing smoke with my bulldog
 

I spent about 40 minutes last night after work relaxing on my front porch with my bulldog, a DPG mini and a cream soda. It was my first DPG and I enjoyed it very much. I hadn't really enjoyed a real peppery stick that I enjoyed until this one. It has been a while since I smoked alone since I have so many neighbors that smoke and we usually meet up for a mini-herf. I think I enjoy smoking by myself more than I realized, I look forward to doing this more often. When I am with friends I tend to pay less attention to my cigar and the flavors it produces. There is always the time and cigar to enjoy with friends however it is equally as good to take some time to yourself. I haven't been able to relax for a while and yesterday afternoon with my dog was just what the doctor ordered. Thought I would share!

Dude, your dog rules!!!!! I want me a Bulldog, but god are they pricey.

I agree with you about smoking alone, since I do it all the time and have only been to one herf, but I really enjoy that time when I am alone with my thoughts and just relaxing with a good smoke...right on Shane :tu

Sometimes the most important person to spend time with is yourself. Cigars are great for just sitting back and collecting all your thoughts and relaxing. Still, I miss getting together with my friends to smoke a few sticks.

Shane...that's what it's all about, brother! Slowing down and relaxing with a good cigar. I find that smoking a good stick FORCES me to slow down and have some time for myself, and it puts me in a better spot, mentally.

Agreed -- you need to have some time with yourself as well as time with your friends when you have your cigars. As you pointed out, when you are by yourself you can focus on the cigar.

I also like to sit with my dog out back on the deck when I am having a cigar. The only problem is that he often wants me to throw a ball for him and when the ball gets slimey the dog does not understand that I don't want his spit on my cigar :rolleyes:
