Cohiba Red Dots
Kind of a newbie. Cohiba Red Dots, are they really good?
|
Re: Cohiba Red Dots
Buy one, smoke it, if you like it, it's good
|
Re: Cohiba Red Dots
Good but overpriced.

Re: Cohiba Red Dots
Its all in what you like, I would try one and see where it takes you. Mostly, the Dominican varieties aren't BAD. I think the red dots are medium based sticks too.

Re: Cohiba Red Dots
IMHO, not good, but you should try one and decide. Everyone has different tastes.
|
Re: Cohiba Red Dots
I am not a fan, but as mentioned above, always make your own decision as taste preference is a personal thing.

Re: Cohiba Red Dots
Yuck. If you want a good Dominican cigar, stick with Fuente.
|
Re: Cohiba Red Dots
I think the red dot Cohiba Black is excellent...But at $10-$20 a stick depending on size....there are much better out there...

Re: Cohiba Red Dots
It's all a matter of taste and pocketbook. If you can afford them and like them, then they aren't bad.
|
Re: Cohiba Red Dots
The only ones I ever bought came with a "free" Xikar cutter, which is the only reason I went the $40 for 3 cigars. Like Macanudos (and many Fuentes, IMHO), they are well-made smokes that are much too dear. As for the taste, that depends not only upon your preferences, like others have noted, but which blend of the Red Dot you propose.

Re: Cohiba Red Dots
This was the first Prem. cigar I smoked and it started down this glorious slope.

Example, I personally think with some age the Rosa Cube(Nic's) $25 ($1.25 each) bundle of Govenors (6.12x50) I would put it up agains most $7-$10 sticks on the market. IMO You just need to try different blends, sizes & color types till you find your stick/brand of choice. :2 P.S. It wont happen overnight so smoke away... -(P |

Re: Cohiba Red Dots
Dom Cohibas are no bueno....1/10 is worth half the price.
My advice, you're buying the name Cohiba ....and the only reason the name is worth buying is the CC Cohibas :dr :tu |
Re: Cohiba Red Dots
There are a lot of sticks that are far more enjoyable in their price point. Just this guys opinion though.
