My Aunt and Uncle (and a few cousins) live in Joplin. She posted pictures of her house and her neighbors on Facebook, here are a few. Her house is still standing (sheds are gone) but the neighbor homes are just - gone.

Amazing how much total destruction and then leave a lone house standing.

This is my Aunt and Uncles house. The tree "landed" in the middle of the home, you can see part of the home to the right side, minor damage. Note I said "landed" - it's not their tree. Notice the grass by the roots.
