HTC thunderbolt
 

so i needed to renew my contract with verizon and get a new phone in the process possibly.

I picked up the brand new HTC thunderbolt. It seems alright, i had a hacked and modded Droid1.

Anyone else get one and what do you think of it?

Nice! It seems like a great phone. How is the 4g coverage in your area?

Everywhere in the Detroit metro. Did a tethered speedtest while I put music on the phone. This thing is faster in everyway to my home cable internet from brighthouse.

that it runs on HTC sense. Which to me is weird compared to froyo on the Droid

I have a BB now and have never had a droid so would be learning new with it, so HTC Sense Vs froyo prob wouldn't make a difference.

I'm due anytime for an upgrade via Verizon. Have a BB now but definitly considering the iphone or droid but waiting for more 4g models to come out. Glad to here 4G is as fast as advertised thats impressive.

it does fun froyo. it runs android 2.2(froyo) plus it has HTC sense

yeah its extremely impressive, it would be a good idea to wait i think. its impressive but im more test driving this phone to see if it wows me. Im really looking forward to the samsung and motorola that are coming. so idk if this phone will last.

justin, my bad. I dont like the "plus HTC sense" part then.

I am due for an upgrade at VZX too. I am waiting for the Droid Bionic or Iphone 5 to come out to compare with the Thunderbolt.

Droid1 right now.

bionic will no doubt kick the thunderbolts a** but its still got like 3months or so till it comes out
