Why Do You Love the Asylum?
 

It feels SO good to have a cigar home. I figured it would be cool to share what we all like so much about the Asylum. I'll start...

- This was one of the first places I shared the announcement of our pregnancy and the birth of our second son. Everyone was so happy for us!
- Any question I have, the answer can be found here.
- The generosity of the B/SOTL on this site is astounding!

1. The feeling of brotherhood I get everytime I log in here. I feel like even though many of us are separated by hundreds or thousands of miles, I can always rely on them for help. They may not know my face, but they know who I am.
2. The constant generosity I have found here. I don't live by any B & M's so sometimes I have to rely of fellow BOTL's for help finding cigars (such as my current situation w/ The Face).
3. The banter back and forth between us on all kinds of topics.
4. Guys and gals that share in my passion for good cigars, good friends and good times.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Very well stated!

I would like to add that the TOE has done a fantastic job of providing moderation and guidance which keeps CA above the fray one encounters on most other sites.

The sense of community and fellowship.The willingness of people to help others,nearly strangers except for this forum.The good advice that is stared daily.There is nothing else to compare to this.........

The members of this community have been so generous to each other too. I have had the opportunity to try many cigars that were new to me because another generous member decided to destroy my mailbox with a fiver. The fact that people in this community will send cigars to someone or even simply share a personal experience with others that they have only talked to via a forum says a lot about the strength of a community.

This place makes me really care about people I haven't met. That takes some emotional investment but it always comes back to me three-fold.

Because it has people with names like "Majorcaptsilly"!

Really, I like the close knit feel of the place and it doesn't seem to be "cliquey". Everybody is very generous in their knowledge and support of those in a time of need.

Asylum is a community sisters and brothers from all over the world. IT is knowledge of life beyond our own thoughts. Where unconditional respect grows and friendships are born.

because the brotherhood extends from this site to real life. how else would i always be able to find a brother to smoke with no matter where i am in the world?

I don't Love it yet, I am to new and had my guts ripped out by the last site to let myself let that happen again.

I think I will though I do like it and people have been great even when I make mistakes they have been kind mostly.

The BOTL theme is real and I have made real life friends I spend time with on the last site Hell I took a two week road herfing trip meeting brothers last summer smoking, boating and having a great time. You know some of those people I call friends will be with me the rest of my life, no ****!

My favorite thing so far is I mostly like the set up like the Troop support and that there are several people sending to the troops. I like that my police buds and other public guy's have their own place and so on.


I could ramble but won't and will leave it at that for now!

Thanks for making me feel like I have a home if I want it, Maybe that is the best part you all allow everyone that chance if they want it. cudos to CA! :tu
