Saba Marinade?

Does anyone have a good saba/mackeral marinade? I've been looking online and no one seems to be in agreement on what type of marinade is used. Rice wine and/or salt seem to be the most common thing they all have.

I'm not looking at sushi grade fish, but I do like the sweet taste that comes from the way they prepare it. I'm just looking to make it grilled from a frozen or fresh piece, whatever I can find.

Thanks for any help.

I have nothing to add but I love saba right out of the can over a bowl of steamed rice, with miso-shiru on the side. Cool, simple meal...

Sorry, I don't have a recipe, either, but I loves me some saba! I can eat pounds in a sitting. :D
