Customizing a Zero Halliburton
I just picked up a Halli from ebay for a very decent price. It's got a couple scratches on it and it got me to thinking, "boy... I'd like to have this painted. Maybe blue or something."
Any ideas on who could do such a thing? I was thinking an autobody shop (because the paint would need to be very good in order to not chip, etc). I think it's be cool to have a unique case. Any suggestions would be swell. :D |
Re: Customizing a Zero Halliburton
You are on the right track. Yes, some body shops will do paint jobs on specialty items. Just call around and see what they say.

Re: Customizing a Zero Halliburton
If it's not too crazy of a pattern, try powder coating it. There are some at home kits now that do very well. Or just ask autobody or custom chopper shop if they can powder coat it.

Anyone around here do this kinda stuff? I'd be willing to pay cash or trade cigars. :D |
Re: Customizing a Zero Halliburton
Or you could do custom graphics on it like many members here have :D

edit: just looked up 'powder coating'... seems like it would produce the desired effect. That said, I'll probably have a professional do it as I don't wanna eff it up :) |

What does an airbrush job like that run? Ballpark figures.

Dave's case needs to be seen in natural light to get the full effect. Spectacular. That Jose guy has a nice case -- to bad he's a University of Oregon fan. |

I still like Sean (Sean9689) and Tom's (IceHog3) Hali's the best :tu
Don't have pics, but wish I did. |

I always thought it would be cool to cover one in leather.
