Padron Anniversary 1964 - Serial Number Question

So, I got a couple of these as a gift for my bday:banger

I noticed that they both have an individual serial number under the main band, do these serial numbers mean anything, like in regards to age?

I've researched this a bit and found out they were added mainly to stop counterfeiting. But, can't seem to find any information as to what these serial numbers actually indicate, if anything.

Anyone have an idea?

The serial #'s on my 2 cigars are: No. 856238 and No. 856058. I would imagine they were grabbed out of the same box, but obviously not certain, as these were a gift.

Either way I'm excited to light these up, I've heard nothing but great things about these, and padrons in general for that matter.

Tell you what, if you really want to know what those numbers mean, look up Padron's number, located in Miami, and give them a shout. I am sure they will gladly explain it to you.
If you need the number, let me know.

I would not worry if you don't have sequential numbers as finished cigars are boxed looking for similar shading on the wrappers.

I'm not worried that they aren't sequential, just wondering if the numbers indicate anything, like age. Or if they are just kind of randomly, in a sense, placed on the cigars.

I have wondered the same. Anyone know what year they started/ what number they started on?

I once read that each Anniv cigar from Padron has a serial number to authenticate it.

Carlos is right, they'd definitely explain it if you called them in Miami.

They're also on Facebook, at least Jessica is.

Awhile back, one of the members ran a contest using the serial numbers. The closest guess won some cigars!!!

That was a cool contest!!!
