Too much studying leads to weird thoughts.

What kind of insect would you prefer to eat with your breakfast cereal? Also, what kind of cereal would taste best with that insect?

I like ants. The big ones. They taste like sweet tarts. I have never tried crickets or grasshoppers, however, and they may indeed match a cereal much better than ants. I think it might also depend on the type of cereal, granola would be a much different choice than Crunchberries or Golden Grahams, for instance.

Tobacco Beetles with Grape nuts. You probably wouldn't even know they're in there.

Soy soaked crickets, I honestly love them.

I got them as a gag gift and to return the gag, I popped a few, they are tasty.

This has generated a ridiculous amount of serious feedback. Nicely done.

I'd go grasshoppers or crickets. They would most likely take on the flavor of the cereal. That'd have to be Cap'n Crunchberries or Cocoa Krispies (I'm a fan of the ChocoNilla).

Crickets are good when they're sauteed and mixed with shoestring fries and some garlic, but I'm not sure how well they'd go down in the morning. I'd stick with ants. They can be a little bitter, so they'd need to be served with a sweeter cereal.

i dunno what kinda breakfast cereal you can find when you are going through the IWIA course in Ecuador, but if you eat the jungle oranges, they make your mouth and face numb....which makes munching, crunching and tasting MUCH easier.......

Think you're on to something with this one. That's kinda what I was thinking.

May have to put some together for the next girls' night.
