Anyone been watching David Simon's new series on HBO? I am really liking this show. Love how it catches the spirit of NO after Katrina hit.

I've been watching it as well. It's not as good as the Wire, but it's still entertaining.

I want to see where it goes before I compare it to The Wire. If you remember, The Wire took awhile to really get warmed up. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for awhile here.

I've been watching, good series. Just because its from the people that brought you the wire, doesn't mean it's going to be the same.

Well, I was flipping through the guide yesterday and recognized the title from this thread. Tuned in mid-episode and the first scene was an anti-GW Bush performance by a bunch of musicians. Uh, no thanks. I was gonna cancel HBO anyway, but this reminded me to do it today.
