New damaged humidor
 

Got my first large humidor today from humidorvault.com, opened it up and a large chunk of wood was missing from the front.:bh WTF?!! So now I get to play phone tag with a company to return this hunk of crap. Rant over (for now).

Just heard back from them. Looks like they're blaming UPS (shocking I know) but are shipping a new one Friday. Hope this one is in better shape.

Hope they replace it in a hurry same thing for me my first one had a broken glass in the door.

The United Package Smashers ruin a lot of things. You can't blame the builder unless it becomes a consistent issue with them. Then it's most likely their packaging methods.

They (UPS) picked up the damaged unit yesterday. Now comes the waiting. Hope it arrives soon. My babies need a home. And hopefully this one isn't damaged.

I have gotten two different humidors shipped to me from two different places and both of them arrived damaged. I think it is a game they play, like "bust the humidor" or something. All the shipping companies must be playing.

I finally got the new non-damaged unit yesterday. I will posts pics later. Its already stuffed to the gills. Looks like I should have bought the tower of power.

I put some of shilala's beads in it and it read 67%. I let it sit overnight and it stayed around the 67-68% mark. I will check it again tomorrow when I get home from work, cause I really want my sticks to last a long time, as does everyone.

Putting beads in and checking Rh is not seasoning. :rolleyes:

I put a bowl of water in it but I really don't wanna wait 7-14 days. I got a wife riding my arse because of all the boxes lying around and smaller humidors taking up space all over the dining room and living room, so I guess I got a little rushed. Women don't understand.
