collection of lighters

Hi guys,

My uncle had given me several lighters that my grandpa had owned since I enjoy collecting them. Anyways, I was doing a little research on some of them since most of these lighters are at least 50 years old. I was able to find most of them except for one.

(I tried to embed the pictures but it didn't work!)

It's labeled as a KING crown, but a Google search for the company yielded nothing. Anyone have any insight into this company? It appears at one point it was gold plated or something.

Also, I have two old Ronson lighters that were made in England but a Google search said they were an American company, any help there? Lastly, there's a Flaminaire lighter. My mom says the it looks to be silver but it has a lot of tarnish.

Thanks for your help in advance

There is a UK Ronson also. I think at one time (pre WWII) they were all the same company, but don't quote me on that.

There is a history on their (the UK Ronson) website under the Ronson tab (the middle "ronson" tab, to the right of products)
http://www.ronson.com/

Sorry I can't be of more help.

The Ronson one really had me confused, especially since one of them is a Premier Varaflame that said it was made in the UK.

Thanks for that link, Bond was definitely one cool guy!

So I was doing some Googling on the lighter for you and didn't find anything, but I did find this website and maybe if you poke around some or email the guy you could get some info. The site is in a different language but he has Google translater installed so hope it works for you.

Thank you! Lots of good info there. I didn't find the lighter in his A-Z list, closest thing I saw was a Japanese company called Crown but I emailed him to see if he knew anything. If I find out, I'll be sure to post!
