First cigar to light your fire?

For me I had tried 4-5 cigars all of which I was personally not very excited about. And just when I thought maybe there wasn't anything to cigars for me I tried a RP Vintage 1992 that rocked my world. In the good way. If not for that cigar and the Padron 1964 Imperial Maduro I might have quit the hobby. I still fondly recall the lightbulb going on, even the last one of these I tried almost made me gag.

How about you?

Macanudo Portofino back when they were made in Jamaica. I can remember paying $7.10 for one on Put N Bay (Lake Erie) and thinking it was highway robbery but totally worth it.

I was in a cigar funk before I found CCs, just wasn't liking the taste of the NCs I was smoking and was getting ready to give up. Then I had a PSD4 and never looked back.

When I was a kid, I absolutely loved Middleton Cherries.
When I got reintroduced to cigars, it was when I was in Florida a few years ago and found Bill's El Originals at the Island Smoke Shop.
That set a fire under my ass, and the cigar that really stoked me up was a Padron 1926 #6 maduro. Had no idea a cigar could be that good, and I was done for.
Then I had an ERDM Lunch Club that Dan (Dball) hooked me up with, and it opened up the whole dark side to me. It was the most delicate wondrous thing I'd ever smoked. Freakin awesome.
So there's really four cigars that played big parts. Not to mention all the Backwoods Smokes, Marlboro's, Marlboro Lights, and Salem Lights that kept me hooked along the way...
;)

Man, I love those little buggers. Ever try the Extra Fuerte, M.J.?
Also stellar in the same size as the Quixote. Can't remember the name of the vitola offhand.

Mine was probably the Honduran El Sublimado back in 1997....and then a cuban RYJ Churchill tubo on my wedding day in 97.

Original Release 1998 Trinidad Fundadores.

I had a few of these on my first trip overseas. I thought and still think they taste like liquid gold. I had smoked a few phillies, Fuente's and a couple padron's, but that Trinidad Fundy gives me fond memories and set me on a path.

La Aurora 1495... I can hardly get through one these days, but those made me realize that cigars were fan-friggin-tastic!

Gurkha Grand Reserve. I know its cognac dipped (expensive cognac mind you) but man that is a heck of a first good smoke

Hard to say for me - but one that sticks out is the Oliva Serie O Nattie.
