Long Island

O.K. so for CHristmas ny wife gets me tickets to an Islanders game in late Jan. Since we just moved back to America this year tis will be my first live Hockey game in around 14 years and my son's first ever. I am pretty pumped but I could use a little help finding a decent hotel close to the NVMC and maybe even a good B&M where my son and I can have pre-game smoke. Thanks for any help a local can provide. Hell if anyone wants to meet up at the B&M that would be great too.

Not from the area but travel there quite frequently.
Right next door to the Colosseum is my favorite hotel in that area. A very nice Marriott. Great hotel.
There is also a Hilton Garden Inn only a few blocks away.
As for B&M, I have always struggled finding a place to smoke in that area. They are not cigar friendly at all in that neck of the woods. A co-worker's brother in law is a member of a club in the area that has a cigar lounge and that is where we have always ended up going.
Right by the Colosseum is a pretty good Italian eatery that I love going to. Cafe Bocci. Give them a try. Great Italian food.

Thanks

For pizza, in that area, Umberto's. Man I miss their grandma's pizza.

As for cigars, I would resign myself to smoking in the parking lot of the hotel. I have been in that area so many times and have yet to find a place I can sit down and enjoy a cigar, other than the private club I already mentioned.

Talking to my Brother I realized I was calling it by the wrong name...It's Campa Pizza in Commack. I'll be eating some for lunch today. Then onto the Isles game. Maybe I'll find a good place to smoke a cigar along the way.
