Given the things going on here at CA...

OK, so sometimes things grab me and I must put it out there in some form of verse. This thread did just that. It isn't much and it surely isn't good, but it is...


As I sit and ponder
another passing year
the ups the downs
the good the bad
the friends that I made here
help make it all
so livable
as burdens
we can share
the pains
the hurts
and anguish
together do we bear.

But lest we be discouraged
in happiness is found
another reason
why dear friends
the sticks get passed around.

So grab a chair
a drink
a match
and strike it bold and true,
light up that smoke
and raise your glass
for I am toasting you.
