Punch Gran Puro Rancho
Once again I got suckered by a beautiful looking cigar :(
This thing looked like it was going to be a tasty treat, but in reality, there was no taste at all. "The Punch Gran Puro is made with 100% Honduran grown tobaccos. This unique blend offers a solid medium to full bodied smoke with an earthy aroma." Well I got none of that. In fact I got absolutely no discernible flavors at all. If I could have imagined what smoking air was like, this was it. http://nickmontano.net/pics/pg1.jpg I gave this one a good 20 minutes of my time, but got nothing in return. I didn't really feel like smoking just to see smoke, so I put this one away without finishing it. Did I get a bad one ? Anyone have positive experiences with this ? http://nickmontano.net/pics/pg2.jpg |
Re: Punch Gran Puro Rancho
Wow thats weird ive smoked a number of these and found them all to be fairly strong med bodied smoke. I won a box of them a while back and i have been enjoying them ever since. Im not normally a Punch guy but i like these. They seem to get better with age as well. Maybe its just a dud or maybe i got a good box who knows.

Re: Punch Gran Puro Rancho
Surprising, as this is in my top 20 smokes.
Great mix of espresso, oak & pepper. Goes great with bourbon or tequila. If you have more that you want to get rid of, PM me, please. |
Re: Punch Gran Puro Rancho
I'm gonna say give it another chance. I smoke the Pico bonito size and I love them. I don't know that I'd call it a full cigar, but definitely get some flavors out of it. Can't recall an "airy" one out of the box or so I've smoked.

Re: Punch Gran Puro Rancho
I like the Gran Puro the best from the Punch lineup.
