Man O War
There is a deal running on this cigar I am considering... anyone familiar? Looking for feedback.

Re: Man O War
I've got a couple in the humi that people have sent me. I have yet to try one, but I hear good things.

Re: Man O War
I found an 8pk for less than $3 per stick...

Re: Man O War
It's OK to say that joecigar has 'em.
I smoked a torpedo and found it to be *just OK*. It wasn't as full bodied or flavored as I was expecting from a cigar with a name like that. The construction was *just OK*, the wrapper began to unravel about halfway through. I've had a couple of others since then, and they did not have the construction issues mentioned...but I probably wouldn't buy them. |
Re: Man O War
I say, go for it!! I think M.O.W. are very good cigars and you'll have a hard time finding a cigar with this much consistency at a $3.00 (Sale) price point. They are marketed as Full Bodied, but I would say they are in the Med-Full range.
I have a box or so left and they've not let me down, so far. They also seem to get better with age. DO IT!! :tu |

thay are very very good cigars i like them alot

Re: Man O War
I think these are quite good. They start out with a Pepin-like spice kick and then quickly mellow out with an earthy, leathery flavor. Some folks don't like these but I really enjoy them.

Re: Man O War
I got a 5er of the figurado on cbid for $19. I really enjoyed the one I've smoked and posted a review (I'd link but it's a PITA from a cell phone). I'm going to let the others rest a bit.

Re: Man O War
I've tried most of them. They are pretty consistent in flavor regardless of the size. As a few have stated, they are not full bodied, more like med. I've never had any construction issues. In fact, I think they are very consistent that way. Definitely need to age these, as they are way better with a few months on them. The one thing I find, although they are not full bodied, they do seem to have a lot of nicotine in them. I think that's why they aren't so great ROTT but mellow out with age.
For $3 a stick, no brainer. :tu |
Re: Man O War
Yup I like them too. Although I have only had 2 they were good to real good. I am letting the rest of the sampler I got rest because I really think it will enhance them. Like someone said they start off spicy and mellow to a semi complex leather/earth thing. For 22 bucks with free ship it's an easy choice for me. Does anyone not like them?

Re: Man O War
This makes me think (and that doesn't happen very often :)
Is there a "greatest deals" thread? Not the Misc stuff from manufacturers but a user submitted one? |

Also, John (CA21455) put together an amazing list of All Things Stogie that many FNG/FOG find useful. Link: http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showth...?t=1612&page=2 Sorry for the thread jack. :td on me |

A cigar in CI's catalog that always catches my eye. Good marketing I guess. I'll pick some up at some point to try out I'm sure.
