Bucanero Z Toro

I'm a big fan of the Bucanero Full Sail Maduro Toro. When I was at Habana Premium in Colonie, NY around Memorial Day, they had their Bucaneros on clearance to prepare for a move. I snagged a Z to try.

Humidor time: 2 months

Prelight: The wrapper is smooth, with minimal veins. Prelight draw is moderate, tasting of leather and wood.

Burn: The burn was razor sharp with that nice "welt" along the burn line. Ash was solid. Draw was moderate, and the burn time was about 75 minutes.

Flavor: Leather and wood, with a slight nutty flavor and a little bit of spice which kicked up a bit in the last third. This was a solid medium-bodied cigar.

Summary: This cigar had a nice flavor profile and was very well constructed. It was a little milder in terms of spice than some other cigars I've smoked lately, but that made for a nice change of pace.

I smoked one of these a couple weeks ago in the Churchill vitola, and loved it. Really a terrific cigar. Nice review! :tu
