Chevy Cobalt
Ok, I have a thread on teh Mazda 3 looking for opinions and now the Chevy Cobalt. Trying to narrow down a list of smaller sized cars for the wife. Any pros or cons you want to talk about?

Re: Chevy Cobalt
I drove a Cobalt while my Mazda3 was in the shop for 2 weeks getting 2 new doors put on after someone pulled out from a stop sign into me. The rental was just a base model but over all the interior just screamed cheap, everything was hard plastic.
I'm not sure what the basic mazda3 trim is like since I have leather, or what the higher end cobalt trim, to compare them, but I would not have been happy buying the car that I drove. |
Re: Chevy Cobalt
Tks... it does come off as a lower end Chevy. But I like having options. May also look at the Hundai Elantra. I know even less about them.

Re: Chevy Cobalt
Both my mom and my sister have a Cobalt and they both love them. My moms came with a sunroof, power everything, and a pioneer sound system. Its a little four banger but it gets great gas mileage.
That being said, if it were me I would get the Mazda 3. Its better looking and is a little sportier in terms of performance. |
Re: Chevy Cobalt
Chevy = GM = Government Motors.
They'll never see a dime of my money again for orchestrating the fraud against the american taxpayer. Stick to Mazda, you'll be happier. |
Re: Chevy Cobalt
only one i would buy is the ss/sc
but then again, it is a chevy slowbalt |
Re: Chevy Cobalt
Sorry guys, but it fits the budget so it gets considered. As to the Gubermint.... well, I'm supporting myself :0

Re: Chevy Cobalt
Never had much luck with used. I agree there is a premium to new, but I have less headaches and the wife hasn't had a new car in 18 years. I have been passing her the ones I was done with as my travel requires a dependale long haul car. She is due, makes the home life better. We start test driving tomorrow. We are looking forward to it, been awhile since we bought a car.

Re: Chevy Cobalt
anything honda is going to last a lifetime.
Got the wife a Pilot last year and gave her dad her 95 Accord. The thing has 190,000 miles on it and still drives like it's brand new. |
Re: Chevy Cobalt
Check out the Ford Focus...they are very nice cars.
