clear and present danger

kind of an odd question but does anyone know why this movie is shown on one or more cable channels every single weekend? I'm not complaining as it's my favorite Clancy movie after Red October but it's just plain odd how often they show it on Comcast.

No idea but we are the same. I enjoy Red October and Clear & Present Danger. Both excellent movies.

I called my cable company one time to complain about the same move playing over and over.
The lady told me I was watching to much television.
I immediately canceled my premium channels :r

I'm a lover of both movies, but I really like Clancy's books! He does jump around in each chapter, but I'll bet I've read every book at least twice, if not more! :tu

yeah, I'm seriously considering switching to basic cable only since I rarely watch the premiums anyway. They have a few good series' but nothing I cant find on the internet ;)

I think I've probably watched Clear and Present Danger 5 times since the first of the year. Is this what I'm paying the extra $30 for?

The books are always better. Hollywood can really screw up a good Clancy book.

+1 :tu

I really like Red October though; it seemed to follow the book better than all the others they've done. I'd never heard of the books until Red October came out.

I thought Clear was a horrible adaptation, and they really screwed up Clark's character (though I always pictured Dafoe as playing him when I read the books. Sum was another botch on the book.

:tu Absolutely.

Red October makes a lot more sense when you read the book. There's a lot of detail and background that's not even hinted at in the movie.
