The more you zoom in the more impressed you become of the quality of the pics. :tu dangit I think the site is down now..:( |
Re: who has this type of camera?
I do! (after stitching together a few thousand frames) :)

Re: who has this type of camera?
I wish the site worked because the quality was amazing...and you could zoom in to much to see detail.

Re: who has this type of camera?
Site's still down, but after the inauguration I got this email that I posted. I think it might be similar?
This picture was taken with a robotic camera and weighs in at 1,474 megapixel. (295 times the standard 5 megapixel camera) It was a Canon that pulled together over 200 individual shots. Each zoom in takes a second to focus ...and then you can see some amazing reactions. Bonus points if you find Yo-Yo Ma .... taking a picture with his iPhone. http://gigapan.org/viewGigapanFullsc...648c2b4b06233c |
Re: who has this type of camera?
Site's back up. Those are some incredible shots!! Crazy how the detail is still there when you zoom in. Kinda reminds me of the Obama inauguration pic that was posted here, but better. :)

That is one sweet camera. I bet the price tag would cause me to have a heart attack

If you are talking about the Inauguration Photo, the photographer's name is David Bergman. He regularly shoots for Sports Illustrated, and loads of other premier news and entertainment outlets. His sites are here:
http://www.davidbergman.net/ and http://tourphotographer.com/ Sports or my thing and that is where I've shot with him. His blog is really cool as well. |
