Nica Libre Potencia Churchill Extra

http://cigarobsession.com/wp-content...e0001-edit.jpg

This 7×52 cigar sports an oily velvet dark brown sungrown wrapper with a slight red hue, triple cap, minimal veins, smooth tight seams and rich sweet earth aroma. First light reveals a very snug draw producing minimal smoke with medium bodied flavors of a smooth sweet earth much like it’s aroma. The first third shows much the same, only adding a bit of pepper to the draw flavors. It has a good bit of strength to it but certainly no full body as it’s marketed. The finish is long but subtle without and pepper or spice. 45 minutes in at the 1/2 way point flavors remained unchanged. Just over 1 hour in flavors finally shift a bit but require a double puff to really bring them out. They have transitioned to a soft creamy nuttiness followed by a soft oily earth. 1:25 minutes in after two touch-ups and a re-light the cigar is unfortunately out once again and I don’t care to try and continue it. Clearly this one just had severe construction issues. Video on the site

I smoked a few of the double robustos and I really think it's the same blend as the Oliva V...

I believe your quote was

"Half the price of the V and half the flavor" :ss

It's like something is missing...the front end lights up just like a V....then the flavor just went away.

You have definitive proof? Not questioning your position, just interested in what you know. :)

Proof? Seriously?

I have smoked both. They are not the same. Pretty simple.

The V's smoke and look very differently with MANY more flavors. http://cigarobsession.com/cigar-revi...-cigar-review/

Wow, hostility.

Just wondered if you had official word. I've smoked both and thought they were quite similar.

It is interesting to note that they also have identical sizes(minus the lancero and figurado) as the V's.

Thats too bad, I recently started smoking the V's and absolutely LOVE them. I guess I will have to stick with them and forget the Nica.

Based on what? Have you tried both?

Not hostility just a reaction to a smart comment.

'Same' is not 'similar' If anything is different, they are NOT the 'same'. That's a pretty simple concept. They have obvious differences such as most prominently - the WRAPPER. They are NOT the 'same'. Sure you may taste them as similar IYO, I'm sure there are many that qualify as similar.
