Honey processed?

Has anyone tried the honey processed beans? How’s the taste? All I can gather is that it’s a different process and it leaves the hull on the bean during processing(?) will that affect grinders?

Tech ninja is using that process at their coffee shop in Easley, NC. I’ve gotten 4 orders from them and like the smooth flavor. Ninja warrior Coffee Company.

How are you preparing it? Drip, French or pour over? That’s all that I have at the moment.

Tech ninja, forum member, yes?

Re: Honey processed?

I have roasted honey processed beans and can't say that I really noticed much difference from other coffee that I have roasted. I use a pour over method for preparing my coffee and the honey roasted tasted great, but without a non-honey roasted coffee bean of the same origin to compare it with I can't evaluate the difference. ;s

Every coffee bean tastes different and I like to change up every couple of days. We do have our favorites or go to coffee beans, but those are just more frequently in the rotation. Today is Costa Rica and I will be roasting Kenya AA later today after cleaning the roaster. :cf1

I use an aeropress, for french press-ish. Here is a link to Stewart's place. He's the roaster and darn good.

Thanks for the information.

I’ll admit that I can’t taste all those things that people describe. But I do like my coffee on the fruity side, for now.

I do know I am not diggin this big bag of Costco coffee I’ve been drinking for the past month. Maybe I should start playing with different grinds.
