"A nationwide theatrical event of "Betty White: 100 Years Young — A Birthday Celebration,” was scheduled for Jan. 17, which would have been her 100th birthday. It's not clear whether those event plans have changed following White's death."

RIP Betty White! I got to meet her once as a teenager many decades ago while she was on Golden Girls. She was at busch gardens filming a tv segment with her bottle feeding a baby deer. She was a kind and very sweet and approachable woman with a great sense of humor. She will be missed. God bless you!
