Zero Halliburton Lighting Solution (step-by-step)

What you will need:

* A Sylvania LED Flute found at Lowe's, Home Depot or, if the outdoors is too adventurous, Amazon. Roughly $10.

* About 30 seconds.

---------------------------

Here's the LED Flute:

Here's the top of the Hali with foam in it:

Shove the flute in there (that sounds so dirty). It will be nestled against the little lip (which is where the latch ends). May sound confusing, but you'll understand once you put it in place (Note that you could get all fancy and mount clips and stuff, but you really don't need to... it stays in place perfectly. Also, bear in mind that if you do want to affix it, don't do so permanently... you're gonna need to swap those batteries out at some point):

It's a little push button, independently powered by 3 AAA batteries. Angle it a bit so it is directed at your cigars. Being that it's a cylinder, that's easy to do:

Here's a pic of it in a pitch black room (no flash in the picture, either):

Done. No more carrying around flashlights and rummaging through your cigars 1 handed.

This would work on any travel case, all I have are Hali's now, though, so I can't test it on other ones... you may need to get little aluminum clips and cut the foam (if you even have any in there) or it may be able to wedge in there like this.

Gonna paint it baby blue to match the Halli?
;)
Good solution.
I put an LED version of a lightstick in mine, Sylvania brand also. Yours is much more elegant of a solution.
Oh, and I like yours quite a bit better.

I suppose I should actually herf more often. But I really don't like people.

You need a step 4. Grab a cigar and smoke it while admiring your hard work.
Tell the significant other it took about 2 hours to install custom lighting, she will be impressed.

This one is LED. Possibly the same as yours...

Very cool Dan, although all the BABOTL are good about paying their power bills, so we have lights at our herfs, but next time I'm in upstate NY I'll pick one up...

Hahaha... The cigar bar I smoke at is dark as hell. Also, Shack gets dark especially under the tent or at the edge of the pier late at night (which, by the way, is the most relaxing damned thing in the world).

Take a pic of how it works and fits if ya can... I'd be curious to see how other people are doing it.

Bic lighter..................................Or a small LED flashlight POSING as a cigar. Of course
you don't have to root around for either one.

Hahaha... by this I meant installing the LED flute in other cases. For perverse, see the original post:

Nice lighting trick, Dan. Simple, low cost and no physical mods to the case.

Have you been on an airplane with the light? TSA is a funny beast, at times.
