Makeshift cigar punch - with a picture

I'm sure this has been posted before, but I just discovered it today.

I was at the shooting range with a buddy of mine and he breaks out a couple of cigars. He's got a lighter, but no cutter or punch.

He's a bite and spit kind of guy (think Clint Eastwood, not Jenna Jameson).

I'm more of a punch or cut kind of guy. I pulled out my keys to find something I could open up the end with, and then I saw it.

A makeshift cigar punch that I had all along.

And I figured you were going the empty shell casing route....

Nice find. Did it cut alright? Doesn't look very sharp.

I wonder what kind of flavors a lead-infused stick would give you. :r

It was a little ragged, but not to bad. As for using a shell casing, we were at the shotgun range, so that wouldn't work, plus as mentioned not sure I want lead residue and burnt powder on my stick.

There was a brother on here a good while back that was making and selling punch cutters made from old casings. Let me see if I can dig it up.

Well that was quick :r
