How are cigar prices in NJ?

Going to NJ tomorrow. Is the worth the effort to find a cigar shop? Anyone know of one near Clifton?

Trust me, whatever the prices are in Clifton, it is a whole lot cheaper than a ride cross state to PA. Whole lot of cigars he could have bought with that gas money and whole lot of cigars he could have smoked and whole lot of miles he could have saved.:D

When I travel, I use this site and also rely on "Around Me" on my iPhone for cigar shops.

PA is fairly close isn't it. I didn't realize that. Hmmmm.
Blueface that sight is awesome. I found a shop close to where I'm going that didn't come up on Google. Thanks

Yeah, PA is relatively close but from Clifton, taking 80 out, it is a ride cross state. You will be driving for a while.
On top of that, when you get to PA in that area, while a nice area to visit, not like you are going to hit Philly in terms of population and cigar shops.

Clifton is off 78. It's about twenty miles to Easton PA area.
Thirty minutes to Famous smoke shop. Tempting but a little further than I want to go. I'm going to try the one in Clifton from the site you suggested

Clifton is actually between 80 and 78 from what I remember.
In fact, it is cut by Route 3 and borders with Belleville and Nutley.
You would have to take the parkway south to then go to 78.

Nevertheless, don't expect any more excitement off 78 than off 80.:r
I would do the hour and a half ride to Philly.

That whole area is my old stomping grounds.
I grew up in Newark and lived in Kearny, Belleville and Lyndhurst.
Did a whole lot of driving all over NJ as a wedding photographer.

You will be about 15 minutes from the J & R store on route 17 in Paramus and about 25 minutes from Cigar World on route 17 in Ramsey. There is also a cigar shop in Montclair NJ I think which is 5 minutes or so away but I forget the name offhand. There is also the Montecristo Lounge off Route 10 in whippany NJ which is also about 25-30 minutes from Clifton.

Thanks Scott,

I ended up at the J&R store. Now that's a lot of cigars right there. Holy moly!:dr

Man, I'm glad Scott saw this for you, as I missed the thread. I was gonna tell you about JR's there or in Whippany on Route 10, both of which are a dang sight closer than Easton or Philly - especially in a rainstorm.

Rainstorm is putting it lightly. It was a hellish day. The Cohiba I smoked on the way back made it bearable:D

Glad you enjoyed. I'm actually across the street from the store in Paramus.

If I was across the street from it I'd be in big trouble.:D
