One of the sticks I procured while visiting Puerto Rico. 100% Puerto Rican puro; grown harvested aged and hand rolled on the island. Sports a darker shade natural wrapper. I think it may even be a sun grown or corojo based on how it smoked.

Speaking of which, it smoked very well. Good draw and an even burn. Zero burn corrections. The aroma it gave off had a slight spice, almost like cinnamon. The flavors were an intriguing. I picked up tobacco, vanilla, nuts, cinnamon, and wood all intermixed. The smoke's texture was very creamy. I'd call this mild-medium, even though it's supposed to be full bodied.

This was a pretty neat stick. Different all together from my usual Nicaraguans and different from Hondurans and Dominicans. Unique. It was $4.95 and available online by the box or in a sampler with two other cigars made by the same company, which I also have to sample later. If they others are as good, I may be ordering a sampler box in the future. Good cigar.

Thanks for the review. My mom's side of the family is from PR and always wondered if they made any decent cigars. I may check this out.

The tabacalera's Website says it's Puerto Rican filler, with a Dominican binder and a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper.
