Building a humidor

Well, i didn't get the chance to learn it from my grandfather before he passed. Military brat and all. So, i asked my father-in-law to teach me somethings.

Well, for my first project we decided to make me a new humidor for my cigars (as the one i have is completely full now).

started out as rough wood

it is now in the mockup stage with a few more pieces that need to be cut

That looks great. I have one question for you as I am thinking about a winter project as well. When you made your corner joints did you use a tablesaw or a router. I only have a tablesaw and was wondering how easy it would be to cut thouse squares with the board on end way up in the air.

Thanks

Man, that thing is awesome. Nice work, I have been thinking about building one as well, it is hard to find spanish cedar up here in Winnipeg. What do you think the count will be?
