Fountain Pens & Fine Writing

I saw that there were some pen threads, but the latest was about 9 years ago, so I thought I'd start another.

Does anyone else enjoy and use fountain pens? A buddy and I started on the slippery slope a couple of years ago, and it sure can be slippery lol!

I enoy the craftsmanship, variety, and writing experience. I use them at work, and quickly became known as the "fancy pen guy" at meetings... when the paper comes around to sign, I flick the ballpoint away in disgust and sign with one of my pens hahahaha!

I'll post pics of a few of my pens. Show me what you have inked up!

Darren, aka SubVet642 in big into fountain pens. He even repaired a few of mine that had been sitting neglected in a drawer for decades.

Don't know where he drifted off to, solid brother.

I have a couple TWSBI Ecos, one of their SWIPE pens, and I like them. I have a Pelikan 300 that is about 40 years old, but an expensive pen is wasted on me.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

That looks cool! Tactile Turn makes some bolt-action pens that I have seen too.

I'll have to look for a knife thread when it comes time for me to do some shopping in the somewhat near future for an EDC pocketknife...

Nice! I have an Eco and a Swipe in my pen tray at work. I bought the Eco with a broad nib and had it custom ground to an architect nib. I love it as it works really well since I typically write in block caps at work so people can read my writing lolol! My Swipe has a stub nib and is kind of like my ink tester - you never know what color I am going to be writing a student call slip with lolol!!!

This seems like something Keith would be all over...
Maybe he'll swing by once he's done blow drying his hair and moisturizing? :fp

A quick update here... assuming I have kicked my bug, I'm going to the San Francisco International Pen Show on Saturday... what can possibly go wrong?

My previous Aston Martin had a Lamy pen built into the car.
