Moore and Bode - Bishop - Flamboyán Blend 1/2020

This cigar was sent to my by a wonderful BOTL and i've been letting it rest in my humidor for a few weeks but i can't wait anymore to try it so i wanted to give it a proper review. This isn't available widely and i have't found a lot of online retailers that carry it but i'll be honest i didn't look extensively for it but it still seems hard to find. So, here's my little review of this tasty looking cigar

Appearance is milk chocolate, double capped (maybe triple but it's hard to tell) with one small vein but from what i'm understanding is these veins are important to the structure even on a wrapper. A faint sweet tobacco aroma

Draw is milkshake close to (90%) perfect. Not a lot of flavors coming though

Initial flavors are chocolate, coffee, and cream

chocolate, cream, coffee, vanilla, dry fruit, white pepper, touch of salt, light caramel notes, some light sweet tobacco notes as well, some very light savory notes but nothing that overshadows the dark sweet flavors,

chocolate, coffee, cream, pepper, vanilla, dry fruit, kola nut, a little bit of wood but not much, some spiciness developing, cinnamon, no more savoriness or saltiness here,

chocolate, pepper, coffee, dry fruit, almonds, kola nut, vanilla, very light leather, it’s really progressing into a much more full bodied smoke than when it started, it almost reminds me of a old fashioned cherry coke, this would be a great after dinner/dessert cigar, this cigar should be listed as an example of how to do flavor progression, a nice sweet tobacco flavor becoming more prominent, creaminess,

Ash was tight and mostly white with some black peppered in. a well constructed cigar for sure

Finish, i was really excited to try this cigar coming from a BOTL here but also being something i've never heard of before. i love trying new cigars, this cigar started out being very light and mild but progressed into a more medium plus cigar and i love when cigars grow in flavors. it keeps it from being boring. I would love to try more of these especially in this bishop size being more or a petite corona size which is my favorite size cigar. i would wholeheartedly recommend this cigar to try a 5 pack and see what you think. any cigar is worth a try once and hopefully my review will encourage you to give this a try, Have a happy and Blessed New Year! God bless you all!

Special thank you to the BOTL who sent me this delightful smoke

Thanks for the excellent review. Been a while since I’ve had a M&B.

One of my favorites! They are now harder to come by than they used to be, not sure exactly what happened that made them so difficult to come by.

I think you nailed it pretty well, it does begin fairly mild, but it builds!

Glad you enjoyed it!

Peace of the Lord be with you.
