Ebay and cigars...

So did I miss something? Poopal and tobacco was a no-no. I assume ebay was the same. Yet when I search fuente fuente opus x on google the first link is ebay. Did this change recently? I know they now allow firearm related items just not the actual firearm.

I think that they are meant for "collecting" the bands and boxes. That is at least my understanding

IIRC they don't allow beer either but if you say the money and value is in the packaging not the actual alcohol then you get away with it. Collectible bottles like Dark Lord and such.

Or at least that's what some people were doing for the longest time.

Yep still are, disclaimers like this (disclaimer found on a bottle of FFF Dark Lord 2011)

By bidding you are acknowledging that you are over the age of 21 and are legally allowed to purchase these items.
The Value of the item is in the collectible container, not its contents.
The container has not been opened and any incidental contents are not intended for consumption.
The item is not available at any retail outlet, and the container has a value that substantially exceeds the current retail price of alcohol in the container.
• The seller will take all appropriate steps to ensure that the buyer is of lawful age in the buyer's and seller's jurisdiction (generally 21 years of age).
• Buyers and sellers both ensure that the sale complies with all applicable laws and shipping regulations.

Some of the biggest cigar sites (JR, CI, famous) take gaypal? I wonder how they do it?

I agree with other statements. I know of CC's sold on Ebay with a "collectible band" and cigar included loop hole.

Apparently ebay policy states that if the original packaging is worth more money than the tobacco then you can sell it there.

In that case, they must sell a lot of boxes of Gurkhas on there! :D
