First Coolidor in Process

So I bought a bunch of 5-packs on Auctioneer and did a couple of box-splits with a friend last week...and my little 50-count humidor won't cut it (I miss by Vicksburg and haven't seen them anywhere online).

Went to the store today and picked up a 70 qt. Coleman...while returning a defective Ronson lighter.

I avoided the much cheaper Igloo Island breeze after throwing my phone in there on flashlight mode - quite a bit of light leakage - the seal was much weaker than the Coleman. Also saw a few posts on this site with the same suggestion.

I have some HF beads coming in the mail and will have to grab a new battery for my hygrometer.

On my way home tomorrow from a few states over...so hopefully in the next week or two I will have some photos up.

Thanks for all of the information this site provided regarding set-up, cooler suggestions, etc. :)

I sat there looking at the 120...but felt like the 70 should be good for awhile at least. I hope

Five years ago I had a 20-count humi and said the same thing. Six months after that I bought a 50-count. Then a 100. Then I was using the 50 and 100 at the same time. Then a wineador. Now I'm waiting on my Aristocrat to be built.

Never say never. :D

Heartfelt beads sitting at 65 rh.. Still trying to stabilize and adjust the hygrometer but will trust the beads for now

I use a weather station with a remote sensor in my coolidoor - I can monitor the rh and temp without opening the coolidor. I look more frequently at how my cigars are enjoying their balmy resting area before being selected for their hot, smokey and final destination. -(P

Go bigger than you think you need. I got a 48qt amd outgrew it in about a month. It becomes an obsession to fill it haha.

70qt is larger than I hoped I'd need...but obsessions tend to take us into straight jackets :)

Regarding the weather station - is there a way to confirm it's accuracy with humidity - I guess the salt test works for that just like any other hygrometer. Any suggestions for brands?

I got mine on Amazon - search "WS-10" and up comes the one I've got - 3 remote stations - in that search are others - I did the salt test - accurate out of the box - one of the nice things is the batteries are readily available AAA vs the thin and expensive flat batteries.
