Schimmelpenninck Cigars?

Read a little bit on these, supposed to be mild to medium body short smokes...

Anyone had them before? thoughts?

Where do you find these anyway?

Never had one. I have seen them at JR Cigars, look in the machine made section.

I've not had these, but have smoked some European dry-cured babies like these in the past. The taste is usually "meh", yet they do have the advantage of being highly portable . . . not only for their size, but also because as dry-cured smokes you don't gotta sweat keeping them humidified.

Hey, they're cheap, so what you got to lose?

A better bet on those is this brand. I like the Maduros best
They are darker, sweeter and more satisfying, but keep in mind they are cheap and
cut filler and once they go soft, you pitch em, because they get HOT, SOFT and tarry
about halfway through, but by then you have had your money's worth anyway. I send
them to the troops, DID, anyway, back in the day. They take a beating and can suit
those times when it is a waste to smoke a good one. Through the genrousity of the guys
here, they can often GET good ones. Nice to have a lil pocket full of crap for when
only crap will do.

The brand is (was) an old, respected brand. Then General Cigars purchased it in a package deal, and has since discontinued the brand (discontinued a couple of years ago, but I don't know if that was ever announced to the public). They are indeed mild to slightly medium, but have a nice taste, IMO. PM me your addy, I'll send you a tin of these.

SvilleKid aka Cliff certainly gave me quite the pummeling...

Not only did he kindly offer to send me "some" of the Schimmelpenninck pantelas I had originally been curious about, he ALSO included cigarillos... AND, for good measure, Cliff went and threw in some beautiful bodyguards, of which, only 1 I have tried before (the Hoyo Dark Sumatra) and loved...
