Civic Literacy Exam

A friend sent this to me and it was interesting to see what I remembered and did not remember from school or flat out didn't know.

from the website:
Are you more knowledgeable than the average citizen? The average score for all 2,508 Americans taking the following test was 49%; college educators scored 55%. Can you do better? Questions were drawn from past ISI surveys, as well as other nationally recognized exams.

Missed one. Didn't believe that wall of separation was in the constitution, but didn't know where it really was.

I got that same one wrong Robert. My mistake. Second one I misread, and the third I would debate as I think the question was badly worded.

Interesting that college "educators" only scored 55% and this college drop out got 91%.

I'm not picking on you. One of my best friends is an educator for a local university. I just feel our country is failing to educate ourselves. I'm not saying its one person's fault or another's. It's just sad IMO. How can the masses improve if their educators aren't fairing much better?

Tough. Some of the answers could be a bit tricky. I hoped I'd do well but wasn't sure until I saw the results. What a relief ...

100%, getting my graduate degree in US History though so I'm glad its worth something :r

Their quote that "college educators scored 55%" is ambiguous. Both History and Poli Sci professors would ace this thing. I guess they included all of those not in the Humanities or Liberal Arts :hm

27/33. A couple were big 'DOH!' questions when I went back and looked at my answers at the end. A couple, I think I just 'mis-bubbled'. Like the 'Name one right guaranteed by the first amendment'. Dammit.

I don't even know which ones I missed. I did it in about two minutes as I was late to run out the door. I should do it again. I know I missed the one about which fiscal policy is followed as it was not to be answered which SHOULD be followed.

I blew a few of the economics/market questions. That's not too surprising I guess. But I also missed one of the constitutional questions and that had me face palming.
