So not really NHL, ‘cept an NHL legend stopped by to watch a game today, then came in the locker room & signed personalizes photos for each girl & had a few words for them.

Very cool, E.J.!

Hawks win second OT game in a row. Toews with his first hat trick in 5 seasons. Good start, but still a lot of gaps to fill.....

The MacKinnon-Landeskog-Rantanen line is really good. GO AVS!

Re: NHL '18-'19 Season Thread

Abs deserved to lose that.... After a great 1st, looked like junk the second 2. Still had a lead late in the 3rd....give up tying goal super late and lose in OT. Least they got a point. Ugh

Re: NHL '18-'19 Season Thread

Chicago Blackhawks are the first team in NHL history to have their first 5 regular season games all go to OT.

How about David Pastrnak 7 goals in 5 games.
Bostons top line of Bergeron,Marchand, and Pasta best in line the NHL:)

They are definitely on fire. 13 goals in 5 games. Jonathan Toews - Alex DeBrincat - Dominick Kahun (who?) are right behind them with 12 in 5 games.

On this years oilers

McDavid is magic, then you have to sit impatiently through a few minutes of whatever waiting for him to take another shift.

Total one man show, Derrek? It's a shame, with Draisatl and Nugent-Hopkins I figured they might be a triple threat down the middle....

Heading to Toronto for 4 days the end of November, was hoping to catch a game. Unfortunately, the play and leave the day before we get there. Bad timing.

Solid win over the Devils, for the AVS tonight.

Need to start liking the Devils, my son has been doing some analytics for them for the past few months.

Good ole Miroslav. Had one of his game worn jerseys when I used to collect those.

Hawks are stinking the joint up, only reasons they won Saturday and didn't get crushed even worse on Sunday were Ward and Crawford.

See what they can do tonight against Josh Manson and the Quackers.

He lost the teams' ear, E.J.. I don't know if can fix this season, but it was time. I'll always love Joel for bringing the first (and second, and third) Cups in my lifetime to Chicago.

Agreed, I think he is a great coach but in the last 6 months he just didnt seem to have the same command as far as the front office working with him and I think that shows on the ice.

Nice win(B2B) over Pens, that makes 6 straight. Two wins over solid clubs, Rat,Lan,Mac line continues to roll.

....and just like that(assuming stays same), AVS drop out of playoff position. Not sure what the answer is, but Bedner needs to figure it out. Huge dump last bit....I’m at a loss. Trade Berrie for a guy that can play D, as opposed to give up the puck in the zone, but score goals? Not sure why Z is scratched....

I always listen to these AVS honks(my tv feed) no, that wasn’t a great push in the 3rd, it was a loss and they are going the wrong way. (I know, I’m frustrated)

It was an exciting game, but the outcome must be frustrating to an Avs fan, E.J.

Frustrating for a guy who owns Landeskog in his fantasy league too.

And don't even get me started on the Hawks.... :hn

Enemy when it hurts, they come out and dump. Every win matters, but some matter more than others. My frustration level has tilted.

Re: NHL '18-'19 Season Thread

I don't know what is up with the Avs, E.J., that top line has cooled a bit and their depth scoring is an issue. Need a second line player before the trade deadline.

Look at the bright side...you could be a Hawks fan this season. ;) :r

Both our teams have struggled mightily, yet both are only 3 points out of the Wild Card spot in the snail's race that is the West.

I would be most concerned about goaltending, and they could certainly use Mittelstat to take it to the next level.

Flyers may have finally found the solution to their goalie woes in Hart. Shame the season started as terribly as it did.

Going for nine in a row tonight!

It's been fun watching their run, be crazy if they came back all this way for a playoff spot. Hope Hart is the real deal for you guys and not another flash in the pan.

Hawks have won 5 straight and are only 3 points out...but with a handful of teams to pass, they probably need to win 20 of their last 29 to even have a chance. Crawford coming back would help.
